Welcome to the official site for the 2007 Highlander Racing team.
 
Highlander Racing is a team of graduate and undergraduate students at NJIT (http://www.njit.edu) dedicated to competing in the DARPA (http://www.darpa.gov) Grand Challenge. The vehicle that Highlander Racing is using is pictured above and is called OPTIMUS or OPerational Transporter for IMmediately Unknown Surfaces.

Highlander Racing has been selected to receive a site visit by DARPA officials in June 2007 to evaluate the vehicle. Below is a copy of the letter sent by DARPA.
